Where does time go? My goodness but I am way behind again. I did promise more letters, but I seem to promise more than I actually do!!
I have worked with so many of my friends this year, and still love seeing them and listening to their awesome music.
We filmed another Country Family Reunion show on May 25th. I am filming the Country Family Gospel Reunion show on Oct. 17th. We do old standards that everyone can sing along on, so I know it will be another inspiring day with some of the greats in our industry. I feel so blessed to be a part of these shows.
I have had my grandkids a lot this summer. They are so precious, and say some of the cutest things. Ross just turned 7, and Morgan just turned 5. It has been so hot all summer, so we mainly did things together in the house...They both love to go to Bass Pro Shop and of course, they always trick me into getting something new. They love catfish, so we go to this catfish cabin and they eat and eat. Their daddy, my son Denny, takes them fishing all of the time, and they so proudly tell me how you are supposed to cast the line....what you are to do when a fish bites, etc...I am terrible at it...I just like to eat the fish!!
The eldest in our family, my sister Alice from Hannibal, Mo., passed away May 21st. She said she was ready to meet her Master, and I am quite sure he had a beautiful place for her..She was so kind and loving to everyone.
Many of you sent up a lot of prayers for my niece, Kathy, in Hannibal, Mo., when she had breast cancer 5 months after I did....She is free from that, but did have thyroid cancer a couple of months ago....She had surgery, and has finished her radiation. She is back working, and with such a wonderful attitude. Prayers are always needed for all of us.
August and September are pretty busy with fairs, etc., so I am praying for cooler weather to go along with them. I am mostly just thankful to be working and still doing what I love to do..Isn't that wonderful!!!
I love my new website and Facebook pages. I am not very good at checking things on it, but I keep trying to do better. I am trying to select the videos I want put on a couple of DVD compilations, so keep checking and hopefully, they will be available soon.
I hope all of you have had a lot of blessings this year. Even with our economy the way it is, we are still so lucky to live in this free land. God blesses us constantly, and He is still in charge.
Do take care, and stay in touch with me. Thank you again, for your interest in my music, myself, and my family.
Love,
Helen Cornelius
