To my friends:

I have not written for awhile, but I have been very busy and that is wonderful..I have good news and sad
news as well...First, the good news...I have worked with so many of my friends at the various fairs this
summer and had a wonderful time meeting and greeting fans and friends who could come to those
events.

I finally feel somewhat settled in Tennessee again, and am getting to see a lot of my friends from past
years here.  I have been in rehearsals for the Could It Be Love musical/comedy which we again played
at the Ryman Auditorium Sept. 15th...It was a glorious night and a memorable evening for so many of
the cast who have never graced the stage of the Ryman Auditorium....It was received with rave
reviews...Several people responsible for booking plays and shows at The Ryman and the Roy Acuff
Theater were present and rolled with laughter throughout the play....They will have a meeting to discuss
the possibility of this play being at one of the two above mentioned theaters in 2006...we are in
contention with several other plays, but hopefully, they will allow this play which is hilarious and brilliantly
written to be their chosen marketing event.

Now for the sad news...Longtime Helen Cornelius Fan club representative from Iowa, and longtime
friend...Betty Hines was buried on Sept. 2nd in New Hartford, Iowa...Betty and Ray Hines were like family
to me...they traveled throughout the midwest when I was touring regularly and then to Branson when I
was there from 2000/2005.  Betty needed heart surgery, but was not strong enough to make it until the
surgery date, and probably not through the surgery...I know Ray is lost without her, and my heart has
been very heavy just thinking about this loss in my life as well...She was such a wonderful person and
friend.  I know many of you will miss her tremendously just as I do..Ray had hoped I could attend the
funeral and sing The Rose..but I was in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa on Sept. 1st for two shows, and then flying
out on Sept. 2nd to be back in rehearsal in Nashville for the play...They did find Betty's instructions, and
she wanted "When We All Get To Heaven" which is on my gospel CD...So her wishes were carried
out....How wonderful that I have been able to be present in so many joyous days of my fans and friends
(God Gave Me You has been played at many weddings from our Together Again CD) and then also to be
of comfort to others on their solemn occasions with my gospel songs...

Thanks to all of you for visiting our website and staying in touch..Susan is doing such a wonderful job on
the website...

Love to all of you...Helen
