Hello Everyone:

I thought it was time to touch base with all of you via our website and let you know what is going on in my life..I did
buy a townhouse in March of this year and moved April 13th. I love to decorate and I have painted the entire house
inside...I love earthtone colors and my house feels very warm and inviting.  Many continue to ask about my health
and cancer surgery...I only had the radiation and surgery and did not require chemo...I had my 6 month checkup
and all was well and that made me feel great!!

I have been traveling a lot in August and September and have been able to see a lot of folks out on the road...Most
of the shows have been package shows with various artists....mostly with Jim Ed Brown, Leroy VanDyke, Moe
Bandy, Rex Allen,Jr., Bobby Bare., and a couple of times with Steve and Rudy Gatlin....I sang Larry's part and they
called me "sister Helen".  When they first started, their sister did sing the high part, so it reminded them of their
original sound...Also with Jimmy Fortune (formerly of the Statlers Brothers)...I also sing harmony with him....I do the
Moe Bandy/Janie Fricke duet with Moe, so I end up singing with just about everyone.   I have also performed at the
opry a a lot this year, before my weekends were taken up on the road.

Susan got to come to Nashville, In., recently.  She looks stunning...She lost weight...started eating properly and has
every reason to strut and be proud of herself...I am so proud and happy for her...She does such a great job with the
website and takes care of so many things for me. Now I hope she can find that "someone special" in her life...She
truly deserves a special love.. She is also very talented and sings and works in the musicals in Peoria, both on
stage and behind the scenes.

Regarding musicals, our "Could It Be Love" has been cancelled for the November dates, as Jeannie Seely who
plays Mabel in the play has to have esophageal surgery in October after she finishes at Dollywood...We will do it
again sometime next year, but this time the cancellation just had to happen...Her health is much more important...
She feels badly about it, but we do not have full control over every circumstance in our life, and she has been
dealing with this problem for quite some time.

I will be flying to New York in mid October to visit my nephew and his wife and he has promised a different theater
play or musical every night as well as the finest of restaurants...I can't wait!!

Also, my neice, Kathy Cornelius Gibbons is undergoing four rounds of chemo right now...she has her 3rd round
tomorrow and then two weeks later will finish with the chemo..then comes the radiation. She did have invasive
breast cancer..She is only 40, and it can happen at any age..She seems to be holding up fairly well through this
process...Please remember her in your prayers.

And for a major highlight, my little granddaughter, Morgan Mckenzie was born July 24th.  She weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs.
and is still so tiny and dainty.  Her brother, Ross, now 27 months old was thick and stocky from the beginning and
looks like a little football player...He talks nonstop and says such cute things...Grandchildren are such a joy and I
am truly blessed.

Do take care of yourself...eat well...laugh a lot....love even more and stay healthy....Love and best wishes, Helen
