Hello everyone:

First of all I must apologize again for being so long in between letters. I seem to need to be chastised more often, then I
break into action.
It has been quite a busy year and I am so thankful for the work and being with my friends...I worked with the Gatlins, Barbara
Fairchild, Jim Ed Brown, T. Graham Brown, Moe Bandy, Rex Allen, Jr., Jimmy Fortune, David Frizzell, and Leroy VanDyke
whose band backs us on a lot of these shows. I love all of them...They are great to work with, and so much fun...Everytime I
work with Jimmy or Moe or the Gatlins, I get to sing with them...Larry Gatlin is not with Steve and Rudy on these shows, so I
get to sing the third part...Much fun!!! Of course, I have worked with others, but I have worked with the above many times.

I don't know if I discussed my granddaughter, Morgan Mckenzie, but she just turned 1 yr. old. She is so precious, and trying
to mimic Ross in everything...Walking and getting into everything she can. Ross turned 3 the last of May...He calls me
"Gammo C" and I love it. He sings all of the time and always in perfect time and pitch. In case you cannot tell it, I love being
a grandma!!

I did two television shows for RFD TV....One in March with Jimmy Fortune, Leroy VanDkye, Moe Bandy and myself.....then
another one on April 1st with an hour of just me...Leroy's band did great and we had so much fun...I understand that the new
shows are now being aired...Let me know if you see either of them.

A lot of people have asked me when I am going to write again...Well I DID!!!  Barbara Fairchild and I wrote a secular positive
song for Christian radio, and then another straight Christian song.  It felt great to be writing again, and I hope some of them
will push me to continue this endeavor.  Writing is a gift, and the more we use it, the better it gets. The old saying "Use it or
lose it" is so true...and oh..........I don't want to lose it!!!

Also, Gene Kennedy of Doorknob records wants to record another CD on Jim Ed and I...If we do it, we want to include a lot
of wonderful old standards..Then...when I slow down from this summer, I am going into the studio with just myself and
piano and record a CD of my favorites standards. I have had a lot of requests to do that, and I am picking songs. Hopefully, I
can get this accomplished.

I have performed on the Grand Old  Opry a lot this year... worked with artists such as Carrie Underwood (she is always
sweet and kind)....Joe Nichols...he is always cute...Craig Morgan is so sweet and kind...and so many others I cannot even
think of all of the names. However, it is always such a pleasure to be with the legends of the Grand Old Opry who are my
favorites...I love Little Jimmy Dickens...Jimmy C. Newman...The Whites...I could go on and on. Music is such a wonderful
business to be in.

Jeannie Seely and I hang out together all of the time, and I am always tired from just trying to keep her straight!!!   She may
be a "wee" bit more liberal and free than I am and we love teasing each other about our differences. However, we talk
several times every day, so we must have some kind of special chemistry..Just remember that whatever she has told on
her website is not true....always believe me!!!!!  She truly is like a sister, and that is nice.

I am doing a show at the Cannery on Aug. 22nd and it will be fun. Brenda Lee and Pam Tillis are co-hosting with Connie
Smith, Jan Howard, Jeannie Seely, myself, Dawn Sears (backup for Vince Gill), Carolyn Martin, and I couple more that I
cannot remember off of the top of my head. We are all doing two songs each and raising money for the Habitat for
Humanity.  My daughter, Christy, will be doing harmony with me. Hopefully, we can help in building someone a house.
There are so many wonderful things about being in this business, but one of the things is being able to do benefits that
help others.  Every time I send out product and souvenirs for fundraisers I count my blessings that I am able to do this.

Thank all of you so much for your concern about my breast cancer.  I am fine and was pronounced cancer free right after the
surgery. I do my regular checkups, etc., and so far, everything is fine. Thank you for your continued prayers....not just for me,
but for my neice, Kathy, and anyone who is suffering from any illness and pain.  We can never pray too much.

I am doing "Could It Be Love" again in November.  For those of you not familiar with it, it is a musical-comedy, starring
myself and Jeannie Seely..It is hilarious, and with some great music as well...We start rehearsals the 15th of October. I
think they are going to film it this time, so if we have good copies, it will be available on DVD.

I worked in New Columbia, Pa. in June and was so thrilled to see some of my old Pa. friends...Dot and Carole Leininger,
Helen Tobias, Adeline and Gene Ecker and fan club presidents, Ann and Earl Kotsonis.  We had a great visit and it was
wonderful to see all of them.

On a sad note, we lost Betty Hines last year...Marolynn Prince this year, and Andy Bowman about 3 months ago.  It is sad to
lose people we spent so much time with and grew to love.

Susan, who is the administrator of this website does a wonderful job..She has a catalog of pictures of her two Shih Zhu's.....
Harry Potter, and Manny...they are precious and are her children. Livvie is my Maltese child....We do love our animals. Susan
has been able to attend a couple of concerts, and I will see her again in Pittsfield, Il., Aug. 25th.  I will be close to Hannibal,
Mo., and I will travel over to see my Cornelius relatives, and my sister Alice, before returning to Nashville.

I hope all of you are doing well...staying healthy and happy. Thank you for taking the time to check my website and just be
there as a friend for me..

Love to all of you...Helen
